Chapter on the Obligation to Follow the Imam - Allah's forgiveness and the angels' prayers for the incomplete rows if they are in front
Hadith 2161
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، إِمْلاءً ، حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الأَحْوَصِ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ الإِيَامِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَوْسَجَةَ ، عَنِ الْبَرَاءِ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَمْسَحُ مَنَاكِبَنَا وَصُدُورَنَا ، وَيَقُولُ : " لا تَخْتَلِفُوا فَتَخْتَلِفَ قُلُوبُكُمْ ، إِنَّ اللَّهَ وَمَلائِكَتَهُ يُصَلُّونَ عَلَى الصُّفُوفِ الْمُقَدَّمَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Bara’ (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to pass his hand over our shoulders and chests and would say: “Do not differ among yourselves (while forming rows), otherwise your hearts will differ. Indeed, Allah Almighty and His angels send mercy upon the front rows.”
