Chapter on the Obligation of Congregation and Excuses Permitting Its Omission - The reason for prohibiting those who eat these plants from attending congregation
Hadith 2090
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامٌ الدَّسْتُوَائِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " مَنْ أَكَلَ مِنْ هَذِهِ الشَّجَرَةِ الْمُنْتِنَةِ فَلا يَقْرَبَنَّ مَسْجِدَنَا ، فَإِنَّ الْمَلائِكَةَ تَتَأَذَّى مِمَّا يَتَأَذَّى مِنْهُ النَّاسُ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever eats from this odorous tree (its fruit), let him not come near our mosque, for the angels are harmed by that which harms human beings."
