Hadith 2080
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنَّهُ أَذَّنَ بِضَجْنَانَ فِي لَيْلَةٍ بَارِدَةٍ ، وَقَالَ لأَصْحَابِهِ : صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ ، فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ : " يَأْمُرُ الْمُؤَذِّنَ يُؤَذِّنُ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْمَطِيرَةِ أَوِ الْبَارِدَةِ ، وَيَأْمُرُ أَصْحَابَهُ أَنْ صَلُّوا فِي رِحَالِكُمْ " .
Nafi' reports about Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them): On a cold night, he gave the call to prayer at the place of Dajnan and said to his companions: "You should perform the prayer at your residence, because the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to instruct his muezzin to give the call to prayer on a rainy night or a cold night, and he would instruct his companions: 'You should perform the prayer at your residence.'"
