Hadith 2077
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، أَنَّ ابْنَ عُمَرَ نَزَلَ بِضَجْنَانَ لَيْلَةً بَارِدَةً ، فَأَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُصَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ ، وَحَدَّثَنَا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا نَزَلَ فِي مَوْضِعٍ فِي اللَّيْلَةِ الْبَارِدَةِ : " أَمَرَهُمْ أَنْ يُصَلُّوا فِي الرِّحَالِ " .
Nafi' narrates: On a very cold night, Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) camped at a place called Badhjanan, and instructed the people to perform their prayers at their own places of residence. He told us that when the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) camped at a place on a cold night, he would instruct the people to perform their prayers at their own places of residence.
