Hadith 2048
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدُ بْنُ مُسَرْهَدٍ ، عَنْ بِشْرِ بْنِ الْمُفَضَّلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عُمَارَةُ بْنُ غَزِيَّةَ ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سُوَيْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيُّ ، عَنْ أَبِي حُمَيْدٍ ، أَوْ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ السَّاعِدِيِّ قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا دَخَلَ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَسْجِدَ فَلْيُسَلِّمْ وَلْيَقُلِ : اللَّهُمَّ افْتَحْ لِي أَبْوَابَ رَحْمَتِكَ ، وَإِذَا خَرَجَ فَلْيَقُلِ : اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ مِنْ فَضْلِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Humayd Sa‘idi (may Allah be pleased with him), or perhaps Sayyiduna Abu Usayd Sa‘idi (may Allah be pleased with him), narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When a person enters the mosque, he should offer greetings and recite: 'O Allah! Open for me the doors of Your mercy.' And when he leaves (the mosque), he should recite: 'O Allah! I ask You for Your bounty.'"
