Hadith 2046
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ أَبِي مَعْشَرٍ أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ ، بِحَرَّانَ ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ الْخَطَّابِيُّ ، وَأَيُّوبُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْوَزَّانُ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ عَمْرٍو ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَبِي أُنَيْسَةَ ، عَنْ جُنَادَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، عَنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلانِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِي الدَّرْدَاءِ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " مَنْ مَشَى فِي ظُلْمَةِ اللَّيْلِ إِلَى الْمَسَاجِدِ ، آتَاهُ اللَّهُ نُورًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ : هَكَذَا حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَرُوبَةَ ، فَقَالَ : جُنَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ ، وَإِنَّمَا هُوَ جُنَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ ، وَجُنَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي أُمَيَّةَ مِنَ التَّابِعِينَ أَقْدَمُ مِنْ مَكْحُولٍ ، وَجُنَادَةُ بْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ مِنْ أَتْبَاعِ التَّابِعِينَ وَهُمَا شَامِيَّانَ ثِقَتَانِ .
Sayyiduna Abu Darda narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "Whoever walks to the mosque in the darkness of night, Allah Almighty will grant him light on the Day of Resurrection." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Abu ‘Urubah narrated this hadith to us in this manner. He has stated that the narrator Junadah bin Abu Umayyah belongs to the generation of the Tabi‘in and is senior to Mak’hool, while the narrator Junadah bin Abu Khalid belongs to the generation of the Tabi‘ al-Tabi‘in. Both these narrators are residents of Syria. And both are trustworthy.
