Section on Qunut - Permission to talk before the last night prayer if it is beneficial for the Hereafter, and to delay the prayer for it
Hadith 2035
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْجُنَيْدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حُمَيْدٌ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " أُقِيمَتِ الصَّلاةُ ذَاتَ يَوْمٍ ، فَعَرَضَ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ رَجُلٌ ، فَكَلَّمَهُ فِي حَاجَةٍ لَهُ هُوِيًّا مِنَ اللَّيْلِ حَتَّى نَعَسَ بَعْضُ الْقَوْمِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: One day the prayer was established, and a man came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and spoke to him in a low voice about some need of his. This happened at night (and the conversation became so lengthy) that some of those present fell asleep.
