Hadith 2027
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ الْبُنَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ صُهَيْبٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، كَانَ أَيَّامَ خَيْبَرَ يُحَرِّكُ شَفَتَيْهِ بِشَيْءٍ بَعْدَ صَلاةِ الْفَجْرِ ، فَقِيلَ لَهُ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّكَ تُحَرِّكُ شَفَتَيْكَ بِشَيْءٍ مَا كُنْتَ تَفْعَلُهُ ، فَمَا هَذَا الَّذِي تَقُولُ ؟ قَالَ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَقُولُ : اللَّهُمَّ بِكَ أُحَاوِلُ ، وَبِكَ أُقَاتِلُ ، وَبِكَ أُصَاوِلُ " .
Sayyiduna Suhaib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: During the Battle of Khaybar, after the Fajr prayer, the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was moving his lips and reciting something. It was submitted to him: O Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings be upon him)! What were you reciting while moving your lips? What is it that you were saying? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I was reciting this: "O Allah! I seek protection through Your help, I fight through Your help, and I attack through Your help."
