Section on Qunut - Clarification that these phrases are among the supplications that are never wasted
Hadith 2019
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنِ قَحْطَبَةَ ، بِفَمِ الصِّلْحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَسَّانَ الأَزْرَقُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعَيْبُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، وَحَمْزَةُ الزَّيَّاتُ ، وَمَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى ، عَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ عُجْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مُعَقِّبَاتٌ لا يَخِيبُ قَائِلُهُنَّ : تُسَبِّحُ اللَّهَ فِي دُبُرِ كُلِّ صَلاةٍ ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثِينَ ، وَتُحَمِّدُهُ ثَلاثًا وَثَلاثِينَ ، وَتُكَبِّرُهُ أَرْبَعًا وَثَلاثِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Ka'b bin Ujrah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): There are some words to be recited after (the prayer), whoever recites them will not be disgraced. You should recite Subhan Allah thirty-three times, Alhamdulillah thirty-three times, and Allahu Akbar thirty-four times after every prayer.
