Hadith 2003
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلْمٍ ، بِبَيْتِ الْمَقْدِسِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ ، وَعُمَرُ هُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ الْوَاحِدِ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا الأَوْزَاعِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي شَدَّادٌ أَبُو عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو أَسْمَاءَ الرَّحَبِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي ثَوْبَانُ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَنْصَرِفَ مِنَ الصَّلاةِ ، اسْتَغْفِرْ ثَلاثَ مَرَّاتٍ ، ثُمَّ قَالَ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلامُ ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلامُ ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ " .
Sayyiduna Thawban (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: When the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) intended to stand up after the prayer, he would recite Istighfar three times, then he would recite this supplication: "O Allah! You are the Giver of peace. Peace can only be obtained from You. O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, You are Blessed."
