Hadith 2002
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ الدُّولابِيُّ ، مُنْذُ ثَمَانِينَ سَنَةً ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ ، عَنْ عَوْسَجَةَ بْنِ الرَّمَّاحِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ لا يَجْلِسُ بَعْدَ التَّسْلِيمِ إِلا قَدْرَ مَا يَقُولُ : " اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلامُ ، وَمِنْكَ السَّلامُ ، تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلالِ وَالإِكْرَامِ " . قَالَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ : سَمِعَ هَذَا الْخَبَرَ عَاصِمٌ الأَحْوَلُ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، وَسَمِعَهُ عَنْ عَوْسَجَةَ بْنِ الرَّمَّاحِ ، عَنْ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، الطَّرِيقَانِ جَمِيعًا مَحْفُوظَانِ .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) used to sit after saying salam (ending the prayer) only for as long as it took him to say this: "O Allah! You are the Giver of peace. Peace can only be obtained from You. O Possessor of Majesty and Honor, You are Blessed." (Imam Ibn Hibban, may Allah have mercy on him, says:) Asim Ahwal heard this narration from Abdullah bin Harith, who narrated it from Sayyidah Aisha (may Allah be pleased with her), and she narrated it from Awsajah bin Rimah, who narrated it from Ibn Abu Hadhil, who narrated it from Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him). So both of its chains are preserved.
