Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Description of recitation in Isha prayer
Hadith 1838
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْوَلِيدِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ الْبَرَاءَ بْنَ عَازِبٍ ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " أَنَّهُ كَانَ فِي سَفَرٍ ، فَقَرَأَ فِي الْعِشَاءِ فِي إِحْدَى الرَّكْعَتَيْنِ بِ التِّينِ وَالزَّيْتُونِ " .
Sayyiduna Bara bin Azib (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates regarding the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): He was traveling, and in one of the two rak'ahs of the 'Isha prayer, he recited Surah At-Tin.
