Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Description of recitation in Dhuhr and Asr prayers
Hadith 1827
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفْيَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ سَمُرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " كَانَ يَقْرَأُ فِي الظُّهْرِ وَالْعَصْرِ ، بِ السَّمَاءِ وَالطَّارِقِ ، وَ السَّمَاءِ ذَاتِ الْبُرُوجِ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir bin Samurah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite Surah At-Tariq and Surah Al-Buruj in the Zuhr and Asr prayers.
