Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – On what is recited in Dhuhr prayer
Hadith 1824
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، وَثَابِتٍ ، وَحُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُمْ " كَانُوا يَسْمَعُونَ مِنْهُ فِي الظُّهْرِ النَّغَمَةَ بِ : سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى ، وَ هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates about the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): During the Zuhr prayer, the people would hear the soft recitation of Surah Al-A'la and Surah Al-Ghashiyah from the tongue of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him).
