Hadith 1803
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ قَحْطَبَةَ ، بِفَمِ الصِّلْحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْعَبَّاسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ التَّرَقُّفِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمَا لَمْ يَكُونُوا يَجْهَرُونَ بِ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ سورة الفاتحة آية 1 ، وَكَانُوا يَجْهَرُونَ بِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ سورة الفاتحة آية 2 " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) did not recite «بسم اللہ الرحمن الرحیم» aloud. These noble ones used to recite «الحمدلله رب العالمین» aloud.
