Chapter on the Manner of Prayer – Another report confirming the permissibility of omitting the mentioned action
Hadith 1800
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ شَبِيبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ ، وَثَابِتٍ ، وَحُمَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ : " أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَبَا بَكْرٍ ، وَعُمَرَ ، وَعُثْمَانَ رِضْوَانُ اللَّهِ عَلَيْهِمْ ، كَانُوا يَفْتَتِحُونَ الْقِرَاءَةَ بِ الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Anas (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), Sayyiduna Abu Bakr (may Allah be pleased with him), Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him), and Sayyiduna Uthman Ghani (may Allah be pleased with him) used to begin the recitation from «الحمدلله رب العلمین».
