Hadith 1777
Saeed bin Sam'an narrates: Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) came to us in the mosque. He said: There are three things which the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) used to do, but people have abandoned them. When the Prophet (peace be upon him) would stand for prayer, he would raise both his hands, and before reciting (Qur'an), he would remain silent for a while in which he would ask Allah Almighty for His bounty, and during the prayer, every time he would go into bowing (ruku') and prostration (sajdah), he would say the takbeer.
