Chapter on Virtue of the Five Prayers - Increased reward for praying in open land with its conditions over praying in mosques.
Hadith 1749
أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ الْمُثَنَّى أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا هِلالُ بْنُ مَيْمُونٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " صَلاةُ الرَّجُلِ فِي جَمَاعَةٍ تَزِيدُ عَلَى صَلاتِهِ وَحْدَهُ بِخَمْسٍ وَعِشْرِينَ دَرَجَةً ، فَإِنْ صَلاهَا بِأَرْضِ قِيٍّ ، فَأَتَمَّ وُضُوءَهَا ، وَرُكُوعَهَا ، وَسُجُودَهَا ، تُكْتَبُ صَلاتُهُ بِخَمْسِينَ دَرَجَةً " .
Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates that the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "A man's prayer performed with the congregation is twenty-five times more virtuous than his prayer performed alone. If a person offers prayer in a deserted place, completes his ablution, and performs the bowing and prostration properly, he will receive the reward of twenty-five prayers."
