Chapter on Conditions of Prayer - Instruction to pray in two garments when intending obligatory prayer.
Hadith 1713
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ ، حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُعَاذِ بْنِ مُعَاذٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ تَوْبَةَ الْعَنْبَرِيِّ ، سَمِعَ نَافِعًا ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا صَلَّى أَحَدُكُمْ ، فَلْيَتَّزِرْ ، وَلْيَرْتَدِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "When a person stands to perform prayer, he should tie his lower garment and fold it."
