باب الأذان - ذكر رجاء استجابة الدعاء لمن قال مثل ما يقول المؤذن إذا سمعه
Chapter on Adhan - Hope for answered prayers for one who repeats after the muezzin.
Hadith 1695
أَخْبَرَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، بِبُسْتَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنِ السَّرْحِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، عَنْ حُيَيِّ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْحُبُلِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ، أَنَّ رَجُلا قَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّ الْمُؤَذِّنِينَ يَفْضُلُونَنَا ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " قُلْ كَمَا يَقُولُونَ ، فَإِذَا انْتَهَيْتَ فَسَلْ تُعْطَهْ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: A man submitted, "O Messenger of Allah! The people who give the call to prayer (adhan) have surpassed us in virtue." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "You should say as they say, and when you have fully responded to the call (adhan), then whatever you ask for will be given to you."
