باب الأذان - ذكر تأمل المؤذنين طول الثواب في القيامة بأذانهم في الدنيا
Chapter on Adhan - Muezzins’ anticipation of great reward on the Day of Judgment for their call in this life.
Hadith 1669
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ يُوسُفَ أَبُو حَمْزَةَ ، بِنَسَا ، حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفِيانُ ، عَنْ طَلْحَةَ بْنِ يَحْيَى ، عَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ طَلْحَةَ ، سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفِيانَ ، يَقُولُ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " الْمُؤَذِّنُونَ أَطْوَلُ النَّاسِ أَعْنَاقًا يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " .
Sayyiduna Muawiyah bin Abu Sufyan (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "On the Day of Resurrection, the necks of the mu’adhdhins (callers to prayer) will be the longest of all."
