Chapter on Adhan - Testimony of jinn, humans, and all things for the muezzin on the Day of Judgment.
Hadith 1661
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ الْجُمَحِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي صَعْصَعَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، أَنَّهُ أَخْبَرَهُ أَنَّ أَبَا سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيَّ ، قَالَ : " إِنِّي أَرَاكَ تُحِبُّ الْغَنَمَ وَالْبَادِيَةَ ، فَإِذَا كُنْتَ فِي غَنَمِكَ وَبَادِيَتِكَ ، وَأَذَّنْتَ فِي الصَّلاةِ فَارْفَعْ صَوْتَكَ بِالنِّدَاءِ ، فَإِنَّهُ لا يَسْمَعُ مَدَى صَوْتِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ جِنٌّ وَلا إِنْسٌ وَلا شَيْءٌ ، إِلا شَهِدَ لَهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ " ، قَالَ أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيُّ : سَمِعْتُهُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ .
Sayyiduna Abdur Rahman bin Abdullah narrates from his father: Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said to him, "I have seen that you like to live among sheep and goats and prefer a rural life (the narrator is in doubt, or perhaps these are the words), or you live among sheep and goats and in the wilderness. So, give the call to prayer (adhan) and raise your voice while giving the adhan, for wherever the voice of the muezzin reaches, whatever jinn, human, or anything else hears it, it will bear witness in favor of that muezzin on the Day of Resurrection." Sayyiduna Abu Sa'id Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) said, "I heard the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) say this."
