Chapter on Mosques - Prohibition of people splitting into separate groups in the mosque when seeking knowledge.
Hadith 1654
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الْقَطَّانُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْمُؤَمَّلُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الثَّوْرِيُّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمْةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، قَالَ : خَرَجَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ عَلَى أَصْحَابِهِ وَهُمْ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ جُلُوسٌ حِلَقًا ، فَقَالَ : " مَا لِي أَرَاكُمْ عِزِينَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates: The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, came to his companions while they were sitting in circles in the mosque. The Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, said: "What is the reason that I see you in separate groups?"
