Hadith 1651
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) say: "Whoever hears someone announcing a lost item in the mosque, let him say: May Allah not return it to you, for the mosques were not built for this purpose."
Hadith 1652
Sulaiman bin Buraidah narrates from his father: The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) had finished the prayer when a man said: Who will guide me to the red camel? The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: (May) you not find it; these mosques have been built for their specific purpose.
Hadith 1653
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) passed by Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) when he was reciting poetry in the mosque. Sayyiduna Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) rebuked him, so Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I used to recite poetry here at a time when the one who was better than you was present here. Then Sayyiduna Hassan (may Allah be pleased with him) turned towards Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) and said: I ask you by Allah! Did you hear the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) say this: (O Hassan!) Respond on my behalf, O Allah! Support him with the Holy Spirit.” So Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: Yes. The command to defend on behalf of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) is a command with a specific background. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) gave this command to Sayyiduna Hassan bin Thabit (may Allah be pleased with him), but what is meant is that every person who has the ability to defend the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) against the false accusations, lies attributed to him, and objections raised against him, it is obligatory upon him to do so. In such a situation, the establishment of Islam (its rulings) and the prevention of the destruction of the religion is found.
