Hadith 1633
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Amr (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Sayyiduna Sulaiman (peace be upon him) asked Allah Almighty for three things. Allah Almighty granted him two of them, and I hope that Allah Almighty also granted him the third. He asked Allah Almighty that he be given such a kingdom that no one after him would have, so Allah Almighty granted him this. He asked Allah Almighty that he be given the ability to judge in accordance with Allah’s decision, so Allah Almighty granted him this as well. He prayed to Allah Almighty that whoever comes to this House (by which the Noble Prophet [peace and blessings be upon him] meant Bayt al-Maqdis) for the purpose of visiting it, and his only intention is to offer prayer there, then he should come out of his sins as the day his mother gave birth to him. The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: I hope that Allah Almighty also granted him this third thing."
