Hadith 1616
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ حَمَّادٍ ، أَخْبَرَنَا اللَّيْثُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ خَيْرَ مَا رُكِبَتْ إِلَيْهِ الرَّوَاحِلُ مَسْجِدِي هَذَا ، وَالْبَيْتُ الْعَتِيقُ " .
Sayyiduna Jabir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, of the places to which one travels mounted, the best are this mosque of mine (i.e., the Prophet's Mosque) and Bayt 'Ateeq (i.e., the Sacred Mosque)."
