Chapter on Mosques - Second report confirming what was mentioned.
Hadith 1611
أَخْبَرَنَا الْخَلِيلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَزَّارُ ابْنُ ابْنَةِ تَمِيمِ بْنِ الْمُنْتَصِرِ ، بِوَاسِطَ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ النَّشَائِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنْ أَخِيهِ يَعْلَى بْنِ عُبَيْدٍ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ التَّيْمِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا وَلَوْ كَمَفْحَصِ قَطَاةٍ ، بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Dharr Ghifari (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah's pleasure, even if it is as small as a bird's nest, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."
