Hadith 1567
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا بُنْدَارٌ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عُرْوَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا بَرَزَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ ، فَأَمْسِكُوا عَنِ الصَّلاةِ حَتَّى يَسْتَوِيَ ، فَإِذَا غَابَ حَاجِبُ الشَّمْسِ فَأَمْسِكُوا عَنِ الصَّلاةِ حَتَّى تَغِيبَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them) narrates: The Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "When the edge of the sun becomes visible, refrain from prayer until it has fully risen (i.e., completely come out), and when the edge of the sun is about to disappear, refrain from performing prayer until it has completely set."
