Section on Prohibited Times - Second report specifying not all prayers are forbidden after Fajr at all times.
Hadith 1564
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلَمْ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، قَالَ : صَلَّى النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلاةً ، فَلَمْا قَضَى صَلاتَهُ إِذَا هُوَ بِرَجُلَيْنِ فِي مُؤَخَّرِ النَّاسِ ، فَجِيءَ بِهِمَا تَرْتَعِدُ فَرَائِصُهُمَا ، فَقَالَ لَهُمَا : " مَا حَمَلَكُمَا عَلَى أَنْ لا تُصَلِّيَا مَعَنْا " ، قَالا : يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّيْنَا فِي رِحَالِنَا ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلْنَا ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ : " إِذَا صَلَّيْتُمَا فِي رِحَالِكُمَا ، ثُمَّ أَدْرَكْتُمَا الصَّلاةَ ، فَصَلِّيَا ، فَإِنَّهَا لَكُمَا نَافِلَةٌ " .
Sayyiduna Yazid bin Aswad (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) performed the prayer. When he completed the prayer, there were two men behind the people (who had not performed the prayer in congregation with the Prophet). By the order of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him), both of them were brought, and their bodies were trembling. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) asked them: What is the reason that you both did not perform the prayer with us? Both of them replied: O Messenger of Allah! We had already performed the prayer at our place of residence, then we came here. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: When you have performed the prayer at your place of residence and then you find the (congregational) prayer (with the Imam), then perform the prayer; it will be counted as a voluntary (nafl) prayer for you.
