Section on Prohibited Times - Clarification that not all voluntary prayers are forbidden after Asr.
Hadith 1558
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ السَّعْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ خَشْرَمٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ يُونُسَ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ : " إِنَّهَا سَتَكُونُ أُمَرَاءُ يُسِيئُونَ الصَّلاةَ يَخْنُقُونَهَا إِلَى شَرَقِ الْمَوْتَى ، فَمَنْ أَدْرَكَ ذَلِكَ مِنْكُمْ ، فَلْيُصَلِّ الصَّلاةَ لِوَقْتِهَا ، وَلْيَجْعَلْ صَلاتَهُ مَعَهُمْ سُبْحَةً " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him): "Soon there will come rulers who will ruin the prayer; they will make it as narrow as the brightness of a dead body. So whoever among you finds them, let him perform the prayer at its specified time, and make his prayer with them a voluntary (nafl) prayer."
