Section on Prohibited Times - Report indicating that the general prohibition is intended for specific cases.
Hadith 1552
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، وَعُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ بُجَيْرٍ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْجَبَّارِ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سُفِيانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَابَاهَ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ الْمُطَّلِبِ ، إِنْ كَانَ إِلَيْكُمْ مِنَ الأَمْرِ شَيْءٌ ، فَلا أَعْرِفَنَّ أَحَدًا مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يَمْنَعَ مَنْ يُصَلِّي عِنْدَ الْبَيْتِ أَيَّ سَاعَةٍ شَاءَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ " .
Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut’im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “O descendants of Abdul Muttalib! If (the responsibility of overseeing the affairs of the Ka’bah) is entrusted to you, then I should not find any one of you preventing any person from performing prayer near the House of Allah at any hour of the night or day.”
Hadith 1553
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَمْ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا حَرْمَلَةُ بْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، أَنَّ أَبَا الزُّبَيْرِ حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ بَابَاهَ ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جُبَيْرَ بْنَ مُطْعِمٍ ، يَقُولُ : سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ : " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ ، لا تَمْنَعُوا أَحَدًا طَافَ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ وَصَلَّى أَيَّ سَاعَةٍ شَاءَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ أَوْ نَهَارٍ " .
Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I heard the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) saying: "O Banu Abd Manaf! Do not prevent anyone who wishes to perform Tawaf of this House or to pray near it at any hour of the night or day."
Hadith 1554
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، بِالْمَوْصِلِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ مَعْرُوفٍ ، وَأَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، قَالا : حَدَّثَنَا سُفِيانُ ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ بَابَاهَ ، عَنْ جُبَيْرِ بْنِ مُطْعِمٍ ، يَذْكُرُ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " يَا بَنِي عَبْدِ مَنَافٍ ، لا تَمْنَعُنَّ أَحَدًا طَافَ بِهَذَا الْبَيْتِ وَصَلَّى أَيَّ سَاعَةٍ شَاءَ مِنْ لَيْلٍ وَنَهَارٍ " .
Sayyiduna Jubair bin Mut'im (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates regarding the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) that he said: "O Banu Abd Manaf! Never prevent any person who is performing Tawaf of this House at any hour of the night or day, nor anyone who is praying near it."
