Section on Prohibited Times - Clarification that the limited number in Abu Huraira’s report does not exclude other times.
Hadith 1546
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفِيانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا سَعْدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْفَرَّاءُ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عَلِيِّ بْنِ رَبَاحٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ ، قَالَ : " ثَلاثُ سَاعَاتٍ كَانَ يَنْهَانَا عَنْهُنَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أَنْ نُصَلِّيَ فِيهِنَّ ، وَأَنْ نَقْبُرَ فِيهِنَّ مَوْتَانَا : حِينَ تَطْلُعُ الشَّمْسُ بَازِغَةً حَتَّى تَرْتَفِعَ ، وَحِينَ يَقُومُ قَائِمُ الظَّهِيرَةِ حَتَّى تَمِيلَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَحِينَ تَصَوَّبُ الشَّمْسُ لِغُرُوبِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Uqbah bin Amir (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: There are three times during which the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) forbade us from performing prayer, and during these times he forbade us from burying our dead. At the time when the sun is rising, until it becomes high; at the time when the sun is at its zenith until it declines; and at the time when the sun is about to set.
