Section on Prohibited Times - Clarification that prayer is forbidden at two specific times except in Mecca.
Hadith 1543
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ أَبِي عَوْنٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ حِبَّانَ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ : أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَعَنِ الصَّلاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reports: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) forbade performing prayer after the ‘Asr prayer until the sun sets, and after the Fajr prayer until the sun rises.
Hadith 1544
أَخْبَرَنَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ حِبَّانَ ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " نَهَى عَنِ الصَّلاةِ بَعْدَ الْعَصْرِ حَتَّى تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ ، وَعَنِ الصَّلاةِ بَعْدَ الصُّبْحِ حَتَّى تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ " .
