Prayer times: Recommending to hasten Asr and not delay it
Hadith 1522
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَوْهَبٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي اللَّيْثُ ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ " يُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ حَيَّةٌ ، فِيذْهَبُ الذَّاهِبُ إِلَى الْعَوَالِي ، فِيأْتِي الْعَوَالِي وَالشَّمْسُ مُرْتَفِعَةٌ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) would perform the Asr prayer while the sun was still high and bright. Then a person would go to 'Awali and he would reach 'Awali while the sun was still high.
