Second narration confirming what was mentioned
Hadith 1516
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَلَمْ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ يَحْيَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ ، أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ ، أَنَّ مُوسَى بْنِ سَعْدٍ الأَنْصَارِيَّ ، حَدَّثَهُ ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ ، قَالَ : " صَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْعَصْرَ ، فَلَمْا انْصَرَفَ أَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَنِي سَلَمْةَ ، فَقَالَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، إِنَّا نُرِيدُ أَنْ نَنْحَرَ جَزُورًا لَنَا ، وَنَحْنُ نُحِبُّ أَنْ تَحْضُرَهُ ، قَالَ : نَعَمْ ، فَانْطَلَقَ وَانْطَلَقْنَا مَعَهُ ، فَوَجَدْنَا الْجَزُورَ لَمْ يُنْحَرْ ، فَنُحِرَتْ ، ثُمَّ قُطِعَتْ ، ثُمَّ طُبِخَ مِنْهَا ، ثُمَّ أَكَلْنَا قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغِيبَ الشَّمْسُ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) led us in the Asr prayer. When he finished the prayer, a man from the tribe of Banu Salamah came to him and said: O Messenger of Allah! We want to sacrifice our camel and we wish that you also come there. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: Yes. Then the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) set out and we also went with him. When we reached there, we found that the camel had not yet been sacrificed. Then it was sacrificed, its meat was cut, then it was cooked, and before the sun set, we had eaten it.
