Hadith 1513
أَخْبَرَنَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْجَنَدِيُّ بِمَكَّةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْحُلْوَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ آدَمَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ ، حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ ، قَالَ " كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْجُمُعَةَ ، ثُمَّ نَرْجِعُ فَنُرِيحُ نَوَاضِحَنَا فَقُلْتُ : أَيَّةُ سَاعَةٍ تِلْكَ ؟ قَالَ : زَوَالُ الشَّمْسِ " .
Imam Ja'far al-Sadiq narrates from his father (Imam Muhammad al-Baqir) the statement of Sayyiduna Jabir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with them both): We used to perform the Friday prayer behind the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), then we would return and let our water-carrying camels rest. (Imam al-Baqir narrates:) I asked: Which hour was this? He replied: The time when the sun had declined.
