Prayer times: Clarifying that delaying prayer in heat is only for intense heat
Hadith 1506
أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الأَزْدِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ الْحَنْظَلِيُّ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ الْمُسَيِّبِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " إِذَا اشْتَدَّ الْحَرُّ فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, narrates this statement of the Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him: "When the heat is intense, perform the prayer at a cooler time, for the severity of heat is part of the heat of Hell."
