Hadith 1505
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السَّامِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ حَنْبَلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ الأَزْرَقُ ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ ، عَنْ بَيَانَ بْنِ بِشْرٍ ، عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنِ الْمُغِيرَةِ بْنِ شُعْبَةَ ، قَالَ : كُنَّا نُصَلِّي مَعَ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَلاةَ الظُّهْرِ بِالْهَاجِرَةِ ، وَقَالَ لَنَا : " أَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلاةِ ، فَإِنَّ شِدَّةَ الْحَرِّ مِنْ فِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ " .
Sayyiduna Mughira bin Shu’bah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: We used to perform the Zuhr prayer behind the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) during the summer season. He would say to us: Perform the prayer at a cooler time, for the intensity of heat is part of the heat of Hell.
