باب مواقيت الصلاة - ذكر الوقت الذي يستحب فيه أداء صلاة الأولى
Prayer times: The time when it is recommended to perform the first prayer
Hadith 1502
أَخْبَرَنَا ابْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي السَّرِيِّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّزَّاقِ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا مَعْمَرٌ ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ : أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ " خَرَجَ فَصَلَّى الظُّهْرَ حِينَ زَاغَتِ الشَّمْسُ " .
Sayyiduna Anas bin Malik (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) went out and led the Zuhr prayer after the sun had declined.
Hadith 1503
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ ابْنُ عُلَيَّةَ ، عَنْ عَوْفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الِمَنْهَالِ ، قَالَ : انْطَلَقَ أَبِي وَانْطَلَقْتُ مَعَهُ ، فَدَخَلْنَا عَلَى أَبِي بَرْزَةَ ، فَقَالَ لَهُ أَبِي : حَدِّثْنَا كَيْفَ كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُصَلِّي الْمَكْتُوبَةَ ؟ قَالَ : " كَانَ يُصَلِّي الْهَجِيرَ الَّتِي تَدْعُونَهَا الأُولَى حِينَ تَدْحَضُ الشَّمْسُ ، وَيُصَلِّي الْعَصْرَ ، ثُمَّ يَرْجِعُ أَحَدُنَا إِلَى رَحْلِهِ فِي أَقْصَى الْمَدِينَةِ " ، قَالَ : وَنَسِيتُ مَا قَالَ فِي الْمَغْرِبِ ، قَالَ : " وَكَانَ يَسْتَحِبُّ أَنْ يُؤَخِّرَ الْعِشَاءَ الَّتِي تَدْعُونَهَا الْعَتَمَةَ ، وَكَانَ يَكْرَهُ النَّوْمَ قَبْلَهَا وَالْحَدِيثَ بَعْدَهَا ، وَكَانَ يَنْفَتِلُ مِنْ صَلاةِ الْغَدَاةِ حِينَ يَعْرِفُ الرَّجُلُ جَلِيسَهُ ، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ بِالسِّتِّينَ إِلَى الْمَائَةِ " .
Abu Minhal narrates: My father went, and I also went with him. We presented ourselves before Sayyiduna Abu Barzah Aslami (may Allah be pleased with him). My father said to him: Tell us how the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the obligatory prayers. He replied: The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to perform the noon prayer, which you call "the first," when the sun had declined. And he used to perform the Asr prayer at such a time that after it, a person could return to the farthest corner of Madinah. The narrator says: I have forgotten what he said about the Maghrib prayer. He said that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) liked to delay the Isha prayer; this is the prayer which you people call "Atamah." The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) disliked sleeping before it and talking after it. After performing the morning prayer, when the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) finished, a person could recognize the one sitting next to him, even though the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) used to recite between sixty and one hundred verses.
Hadith 1504
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِنَّ الْحَرَّ مِنْ فِيحِ جَهَنَّمَ ، فَأَبْرِدُوا بِالصَّلاةِ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Indeed, heat is a part of the scorching of Hell, so perform the prayer at a cooler time."
