باب مواقيت الصلاة - ذكر البيان بأن من أدرك ركعة من الصلاة لم تفته صلاته
Prayer times: Clarifying that catching one unit means the prayer is not missed
Hadith 1484
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو يَعْلَى ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو خَيْثَمَةَ ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَامِرٍ ، عَنْ زُهَيْرِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمْ ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ ، وَبُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ ، وَعَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الأَعْرَجِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " مَنْ صَلَّى مِنَ الصُّبْحِ رَكْعَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ تَطْلُعَ الشَّمْسُ ، لَمْ تَفُتْهُ الصَّلاةُ ، وَمَنْ صَلَّى مِنَ الْعَصْرِ رَكْعَةً قَبْلَ أَنْ تَغْرُبَ الشَّمْسُ ، لَمْ تَفُتْهُ الصَّلاةُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "Whoever catches one rak'ah of the morning prayer before the sun rises, his prayer has not been missed. Whoever catches one rak'ah of the Asr prayer before the sun sets, his prayer has not been missed."
