Hadith 1475
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، مِنْ أَصْلِ كِتَابِهِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكُ بْنُ مِغْوَلٍ ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ عَيْزَارٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي عَمْرٍو الشَّيْبَانِيِّ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ ، قَالَ : سَأَلْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، أَيُّ الأَعْمَالِ أَفْضَلُ ؟ قَالَ : " الصَّلاةُ فِي أَوَّلِ وَقْتِهَا " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Mas'ud (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: I asked the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), "Which deed is the most virtuous?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "To perform the prayer at its earliest time."
