Warning against abandoning prayer: Clarifying that "whoever misses the prayer" refers to Asr prayer
Hadith 1469
أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو خَلِيفَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْقَعْنَبِيُّ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " الَّذِي تَفُوتُهُ صَلاةُ الْعَصْرِ ، فَكَأَنَّمَا وُتِرَ أَهْلِهِ وَمَالِهِ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Umar (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): "Whoever misses the Asr prayer, it is as if his family and wealth have been destroyed."
