Relieving oneself: Recommended to wash face and hands after urinating at night before sleep
Hadith 1445
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفِيانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ مُوسَى خَتٌّ ، وَكَانَ كَخَيْرِ الرِّجَالِ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ ، قَالَ : أَنْبَأَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنْ سَلَمْةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ كُرَيْبًا ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ : " بِتُّ عِنْدَ خَالَتِي مَيْمُونَةَ : فَرَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَامَ ، فَبَالَ ، ثُمَّ غَسَلَ وَجْهَهُ ، ثُمَّ نَامَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: I spent the night at the house of my maternal aunt, Sayyida Maymunah (may Allah be pleased with her). I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) get up, he relieved himself, then he washed his face and then went back to sleep.
