Relieving oneself: Prohibition of urinating in people's pathways and gathering places
Hadith 1415
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ مَوْلَى ثَقِيفٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا الْوَلِيدُ بْنُ شُجَاعٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ ، عَنِ الْعَلاءِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " اتَّقُوا اللَّعَّانَيْنِ " ، قَالُوا : وَمَا اللَّعَّانَانِ ؟ قَالَ : " الَّذِي يَتَخَلَّى فِي طُرُقِ النَّاسِ وَأَفْنِيَتِهِمْ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Beware of the two things that bring about much cursing." The people asked: "What are the two things that bring about much cursing?" The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "That a person relieves himself in the path of the people or near their (houses') buildings."
