Purifying impurity: Reporting that shoes are purified by being wiped by clean earth after stepping in filth
Hadith 1403
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ خَلِيلٍ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنِي الْوَلِيدُ ، عَنِ الأَوْزَاعِيِّ ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " إِذَا وَطِئَ أَحَدُكُمْ بِنَعْلِهِ فِي الأَذَى ، فَإِنَّ التُّرَابَ لَهَا طَهُورٌ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Noble Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him): When a person steps on filth with his shoe, the earth (soil) cleanses what (impurity) has stuck to the shoe.
