Menstruation and irregular bleeding: Clarifying that a menstruating woman should wear a waist wrap before her husband lies with her
Hadith 1364
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفِيانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، عَنِ الأَسْوَدِ ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ ، قَالَتْ : كَانَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، " يَأْمُرُ إِحْدَانَا إِذَا كَانَتْ حَائِضًا أَنْ تَتَّزِرَ ، ثُمَّ يُبَاشِرُهَا " .
Lady Aisha Siddiqa (may Allah be pleased with her) narrates: When any one of us (wives) would begin menstruating, the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) would instruct her to tie her lower garment firmly, and then he would have intimacy with that woman.
