Hadith 1336
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ الدَّوْرَقِيُّ ، حَدَّثَنَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ ، قَالَ : سَمِعْتُ إِبْرَاهِيمَ ، يُحَدِّثُ ، عَنْ هَمَّامِ بْنِ الْحَارِثِ النَّخَعِيِّ ، قَالَ : " رَأَيْتُ جَرِيرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بَالَ ، ثُمَّ تَوَضَّأَ وَمَسَحَ عَلَى خُفِيهِ ، ثُمَّ قَامَ فَصَلَّى ، فَسُئِلَ عَنْ ذَلِكَ ، قَالَ : رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ صَنَعَ مِثْلَ هَذَا " . قَالَ إِبْرَاهِيمُ : كَانَ هَذَا يُعْجِبُهُمْ ، لأَنَّ جَرِيرًا كَانَ فِي آخِرِ مَنْ أَسْلَمْ .
Hammam bin Harith Nakha'i narrates: I saw Sayyiduna Jarir bin Abdullah (may Allah be pleased with him) that after urinating, he performed ablution and wiped over his socks, then stood up and offered prayer. He was asked about this, so he said: I saw the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) doing this. Ibrahim Nakha'i says: This narration was very much liked by those people because Sayyiduna Jarir (may Allah be pleased with him) had accepted Islam during the lifetime of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him).
