Wiping over leather socks and similar: Permitting one to pray as much as desired after wiping, within the set time
Hadith 1334
أَخْبَرَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ سُفِيانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كَامِلٍ الْجَحْدَرِيُّ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا فُضَيْلُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ عُقْبَةَ ، عَنْ أَبِي حَازِمٍ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سُئِلَ ، فَقِيلَ : يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ ، أَرَأَيْتَ الرَّجُلَ يُحْدِثُ فِيتَوَضَّأُ ، وَيَمْسَحُ عَلَى خُفِيهِ ، أَيُصَلِّي ؟ قَالَ : " لا بَأْسَ بِذَلِكَ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Huraira (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) was asked: O Messenger of Allah! What is your opinion about a person who loses his ablution and then performs ablution, wipes over his leather socks, and offers prayer? The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: There is no harm in it.
