Chapter on Skins of Dead Animals – Second report indicating permission to benefit from any tanned skin of a dead animal
Hadith 1287
أَخْبَرَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ سِنَانٍ ، قَالَ : أَخْبَرَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ ، عَنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَسْلَمْ ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ وَعْلَةَ ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " أَيُّمَا إِهَابٍ دُبِغَ فَقَدْ طَهُرَ " .
Sayyiduna Abdullah bin Abbas (may Allah be pleased with them both) narrates: The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Any hide that has been tanned becomes pure."
