Chapter on Water – Prohibition of urinating in stagnant water less than two qullahs if one intends to perform ablution or drink from it afterward
Hadith 1256
أَخْبَرَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ خُزَيْمَةَ ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى ، قَالَ : حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ ، عَنِ الْحَارِثِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي ذُبَابٍ ، عَنْ عَطَاءِ بْنِ مِينَاءَ ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ، أَنّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ، قَالَ : " لا يَبُولَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فِي الْمَاءِ الدَّائِمِ ، ثُمَّ يَتَوَضَّأُ مِنْهُ ، أَوْ يَشْرَبُ " .
Sayyiduna Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) narrates this statement of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him): "No person should ever urinate in standing water, for then he might perform ablution from it or drink from it."
